This certificate has been designed to allow the candidate to renew their Street Works qualification(s), for those who hold current or recently expired qualifications. This course is best booked within the 6-month lead-up to the expiry of your SWQR card, in order to make sure that the card is able to be renewed prior to the expiry date. The new card validity will be equal to 5 years, plus whatever time was remaining on the card prior to expiry. Candidates will be assessed in line with the current legislation to ensure they can carry out street works to a high standard.
The unit teaching will typically take place over the course of one day for units up to S3, and two days for units up to S7.

Unit S1 – Monitoring Signing, Lighting and Guarding
Unit S2 – Monitoring Excavation in the Highway
Unit S3 – Monitoring Reinstatement of Backfill Materials
Unit S4 – Monitoring Reinstatement of Sub-Base and Base in Non Bituminous Materials
Unit S5 – Monitoring Reinstatement in Bituminous Materials
Unit S6 – Monitoring Reinstatement of Concrete Slabs
Unit S7 – Monitoring Reinstatement of Modular Surfaces and Concrete Footways
