Manual handling
Lesson plan - 1/2 day course
This course is designed for operatives and supervisors who are required to manually move equipment from one place to another.
- To state the requirements of the relevant regulations and to identify manual handling activities. To demonstrate the kinetic way of lifting and using aids incorporating the correct use of P.P.E equipment.
- On the completion of the training the attendees will understand all health & safety responsibilities, regulations, requirements, manual handling defined and the risks of poor technique. Task assessment load –environment-individual. Three step approach 1. Eliminating the risk 2. Reducing the risk 3. Correct technique. Kinetic lifting manual aids and taking care of your back. P.P.E equipment regulations, maintenance, replacement and use.
